Hi Everyone! My name is Goldie.
I have been training in dance for 16 years, teaching for 13 and running UniverseSoul Dance Studio for the past 5 years! Woweee what a journey that I am so grateful for!
I always say dance saved my life but what I mean is, it gave me purpose, which is so important to me. I have a HUGE passion for developing our little dance community and I really like to share and show everyone that music and dance are such important aspects of our well being, it’s rooted in us! Hello! My name is Apple-Rose but you can call me Apple. I am creative director and educator for UV’s competitive teams and training program. I’ve grown my profession in dance through training, choreographing, and teaching for 13 years. My experience includes training choreography and hip hop foundation, co-directing competitive teams to nation wide platforms, and educating dancers from all parts of the globe. Dance & music has always been a huge force in my life. There are not enough words to describe the connection you feel when jamming alone or the thrill of being on stage in front of the masses. I’m so excited to see this community flourish. For new creatives take risks, students to have their “aha” moments, and for my friends and I to accomplish everything we put our hearts into!

Hey hey everybody, my name is Rocky!
I have been with UV now for over 10 years, what a milestone! I wear multiple hats within the studio & I am forever grateful to have roots here.
Dance found it’s way into my life at a young age & it just never left as I grew into my adult years. It’s naturally part of my identity, but also why I am who I am today. Dance allowed me to embrace living authentically myself, both in and outside of the studio. To live unapologetically and compassionately. I am thrilled to be taking on a new vision of mine this season, as a page flips in my dance journey. & I cannot wait for all of you to see the magic that unfolds!

Hello UV It's Izzy! Growing up in UV has been an unforgettable experience! Some of my best memories are travelling with the team to compete in various street dance competitions in Toronto, Edmonton, and Vancouver. Being mentored by Goldie and Apple for several years, I'm excited to be given the opportunity to share my knowledge and craft with my peers and the next generation of dancers! My love for dance has grown with each experience I’ve had, and as of recently, being able to teach and create has propelled me to new heights with my dance. With the opportunity to share my love of dance with the Calgary community, my intent is to always push the boundaries, remain an honest & authentic artist, and give back to the community that serves me. I'm truly honoured to be working with the next generation of UV students and i'm so excited for us to connect!

Hiii! My name is Chanel and for as long as I can remember, creative expression has been an integral part of my own self discovery. I’ve been able to communicate this the most through UV and what I love about dancing is the total freedom of expression that it grants me. Sharing and dancing with others has become such a big part of my life and through the years I’ve been at the studio, I’ve been able to elevate my training to a variety of different opportunities that include teaching, competing at an advanced level, showcasing/ performing, collaborating with other creatives and also becoming more and more actively involved in the community. Going on to my fourth year, I am beyond happy to share another season with UV and can’t express enough how excited I am to further strengthen my ability to create and perform!

Hi! I’m Kennedy, nice to meet you! I’ve danced both in classical styles and street styles, both in recreational dancing and competing. I started dancing at UV in fall 2020 and have been training here ever since. I love creating, exploring movement and meeting new people!
I love dancing because it helps me express myself and has helped me open up a lot because I was really shy. Dancing makes me feel free. I’ve met a bunch of awesome people through dance and I’m really excited to meet more! However, I’m most excited to watch people grow and explore their movement, because that’s my favourite thing about dance.
